Tomboy 1.1.1 released
All the Tomboy fans out there, you would be pleased to know that Tomboy 1.1.1 is out now. Its the second development release on its way to Tomboy 1.2. This new release comes with a lot of improvements and new features. From rich html support to a really fast start up time of 0.5-1.0 second, this release covers most of the features planned for Tomboy 1.2.
With most of the features already covered in this new release, the only left are automatic background
synchronization and customizable keybindings. In order to improve the start up time, the developers had to remove a workaround that kept tomboy from writing to disk every 40 seconds. As suggested by the Sandy Armstrong, the developer, if you are planning to install or upgrade to Tomboy 1.1.1 then you better upgrade your mono installation to at least 2.4.3 too.
The Windows release also had support for Windows 7 Jump Lists. And that's when Sandy suggested in his blog to have something similar to windows 7 jumplists in Gnome, which he even proposed in his mail to gnome-shell-list.
