Some Cool HTML5 Demos

So, today we attended the awesome Google DevFest 2010 in Hyderabad, India. And there were some really good sessions by google's open web developers on the latest web technologies. The session on HTML5 by Patrick Chanezon, which we were already pretty excited about , went way par our expectations. Patrick gave an awesome presentation, showing some really good demos depicting the power HTML5 holds.

Now, lets get started with the amazing stuffs that can be done with HTML5.

1. This one by Paul Rouget is my favourite. It is a pretty cool demo of dynamic content injection. Try it out.

2. This one was an expermient with HTML5 by 9elements in which they load 100 tweets related to HTML5 and use Javascript to generate an awesome flash-like effect. You can read more about it on their blog. See the demo here.

3. Ever used a web-based music generator. Well, you will like this drum-kit by Brian Arnold.

4. This is another one by Paul Rouget. Here he replaces the background of the original video with a pic. Chk out the demo.

5. Yet another by Paul Rouget. Its called tristan washing machine. It’s a very simple demonstration of what you can do when you combine video, SVG and some fun transformations.

A great part about HTML5 is that the tag supports multiple sources, so even though the browser makers cannot decide on what video format they plan to go with (ogg or h264), the web developer can offer both formats in the meantime.
