Now you can send Application Bug Reports using Android 2.2 - Awesome

We all are pretty aware about the awesomeness of Android 2.2, aka Froyo, but one of the powerful features which will be a boon for Application developers is the facilitation of reporting errors and bug reports using your Android. Yes, bye bye to blind debugging, now you contribute by helping developers through your feedback to improve your favourite application.

So, the next time your device crashes or freezes sending a bug report is just a button click away. As the Android Blog says.

the Google Feedback client running on the device will analyze the offending app and compose a report with information needed to diagnose it.

And don't worry, they are not going to take away any private info. In case you wish to submit additional info say Device logs which may contain private information then it won't be passed on to the developer but will be used by Google to track bugs in Android.

The bug information collected from all around the world will be shown to the respective developer who will be provided with proper tools to diagnose, triage and fix bugs.

This feature is great for both developers as well as end users. The users may not realize now but their feedback in the form of error or bug reports, which requires nothing more than a couple of clicks, is very useful for Application developers to track down bugs and fix them. More interaction between users and Developer is always good and more such efforts from Google are definitely going to make Android way better than any of its competitors.

This isn't new. I can send these same things with 2.1-update1 on my Droid.
