Miro 3.0 brings subtitle and external player support
Miro is one of the finest softwares I have ever used. Its a video aggreator cum Internet TV. It has been handling all of my audio/video feeds since the very first time I used it. Miro easily allows you to subscribe to torrent feeds, lets you search and dowload youtube videos in HD and a whole lot more. And the new Miro 3.0 comes with even more new features to make your life easier and further improving Miro, the best Internet Video application.
And in case you don't know, the best part is that Miro is an opensource and free software. Now, lets see what all new have we got in Miro 3.0.
What's new in Miro 3.0
1. Miro 3.0 now support subtitle-tracks, subtitle sidecar and you can even select an external subtitle file.
2. In order to make things more flexible for the user, Miro now gives you an option to play the media content using an external media player. Although Miro supports almost all the video formats now, so you shouldn't have any trouble with "Miro not playing some file" but still if things go wrong somewhere, now there is an option to go for another player.
3. Now, you can edit the media information - title, description, media type for the files in the library.
4. As a result of a little tweaking with the volume Miro offers 200% max. volume on windows and 300% on Linux and Mac.
If its the first time you are reading about Miro, I would strongly suggest you to take a look at this Introductory video.
