Manage your podcasts using gPodder

So, the application I have been using a lot recently is gPodder. In simple words, its a podcast aggregator or a podcast manager or even simpler it may be considered as a rss reader which deals with audio and video feeds rather than textual content. In addition to being simple and easy to use, its very flexible. Keep reading and I am sure many of you will replace your podcast client with gPodder .

There are a lot of things I like about gPodder. Its easy to use, has a simple and convenient interface, a really simple settings window and wait for my favourite, it helps you sync your feeds. The last one is probably the biggest reason I started using gPodder. I have a few comuters and I wanted a solution which will let me view feeds on all the computers and somehow keep my subscriptions in sync. gPodder did that for me, you just have to upload your subscription list on gpodder cloud(go to Subscriptions -> Upload list on my.gpodder.org) which you can download later on any other system to sync your subscriptions. It also allows export and import of subscription list in the form of OPML files.

gPodder allows working media devices too. So, you can even sync your iPod using it. If you really liked some podcast and would like it to be on your mobile you can use the "send via bluetooth" option by right clicking on the podcast. It lets you control the download bandwidth too. Podcasts are larger in size so you may want them to be deleted after you have listened or viewed them. You can do this by setting the expiring time of played feeds. I should better stop here and let you explore gPodder yourself.

gPodder is available for most of the linux distributions. You can easily download and install it from the repos or from their download page. Its available for Nokia mobile tablets and Nokia mobile comuter too.
